It was created by BitSpice, a software development company based in Ahmedabad, India. The name "Qikipedia" is a pun on "Wikipedia" and/or "Encyclopedia". It is also borrowed from the account name of the Quite Interesting (QI) twitter account. QI is a BBC quiz and comedy panel show that puts celebrities and comedians general knowledge ignorance to the test. Qikipedia is a useful tool for learning new things and getting quick summaries of Wikipedia articles. It is also a fun way to explore the vast knowledge of Wikipedia.
Here are some links to learn more about Qikipedia:

Chrome Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/qikipedia/dljenobnbaealaglncgihenfkbkblefd

GitLab repository: https://gitlab.com/bitspice/qikipedia

Quite Interesting Wiki: https://qikipedia.fandom.com/wiki/Quite_Interesting_Wiki

Quite Interesting Twitter: https://twitter.com/qikipedia
